Mekong Delta “Pandaw Cruise” 4 Days

In the morning you will visit Cai Be and its colorful floating market. Every day, boats filled with fruits, vegetables and other local products anchor along the banks of the river, waiting for traders and customers. Here you can see local people selling, buying, and exchanging goods from their boats.

In the afternoon take an exciting sampan boat excursion to Sa Dec via Vinh Long, along canals and backwaters and see the local market and the ancient house of Mr, Huynh Thuy Le, the 'lover' of Marguerite Duras, a famous French novelist.

Overnight on board

Visit a Cham tribal village, you will see people still using their traditional clothing, and village houses built on stilts because the area often floods in rainy season.

One of the special features of Chau Doc is its floating fishing villages on the Mekong River. People depend on the river to raise many kinds of fishes, especially catfish. Catfish are so important in Chau Doc that you will find a Catfish statue in the town. Drop at a catfish farm, meet the local and learn more about this.

You then take a trishaw ride round Chau Doc. Relax, enjoy the ride and take nice photos of the local life.

Return to the ship by boat for lunch and cast off for the Cambodian border for the usual formalities.
