Mekong Delta by Bike 5 Days

Take a morning boat ride to explore the bustling Cai Rang floating market. Stop at a local orchard to taste juicy tropical fruit, then pedal along the river bank. On the ride to Soc Trang, the centre of the Khmer religion, you will see many Khmer pagodas along the way. Overnight in Soc Trang.

Transfer to the Can Tho ferry, pick up your cycles and enjoy riding along the bank of the Hau River to Sa Dec. Cycle through country lanes, paddy fields and bamboo villages. In Sa Dec visit the riverside market, old houses, the French villas of colonial times and historic temples and pagodas. Overnight in Sa Dec.

Start riding on small riverside routes dotted with old houses, temples, pagodas and churches, to a flower village. Once in Xeo Quyt, a small boat will take you into the forest where vestiges of an army base can still be seen. Overnight in Cao Lanh.

On your final cycling day, ride on a country lane to Gao Giong Eco-Tourism Park, a vast green oasis of water flowers. Take a boat ride to visit the Gao Giong bird sanctuary before returning to Saigon by bus. Farewell dinner at local restaurant. End of the trip.
