Wonders of Vietnam 13 Days

Begin the first full day with a visit to the highly acclaimed Vietnam Women’s Museum. The museum is located near Hoan Kiem Lake and offers wonderful insight into the significant role women play in Vietnamese society.

Continue with a visit to Vietnam’s first university, the Temple of Literature. Founded in 1076 Quoc Tu Giam was established within a temple to educate Vietnam's royalty, mandarins and members of the elite. The university functioned for an incredible 700 years and its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a fascinating glimpse into Vietnam’s past.

Continue to the nearby mausoleum of the historic figure and father of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh (viewed from outside), and visit the former president’s house on stilts where he lived from 1958 to 1969. Afterwards, pay a visit the small but iconic One Pillar Pagoda before heading back to the hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 

After your breakfast, departure to Moc Chau.  On the midway, the car will stop in stopover for short break and take sightseeing in 15 minutes at Thung Khe Mai Chau - Hoa Binh. After that, continue to enjoy the beautiful scenery of North-West area on the way to Moc Chau. Enjoy lunch with the special food of the North-West at local house.

Our tour guide will then take you to visit a village of the H’Mong Ethnic people to know more about their lifestyles. Besides, you will enjoy the glamour of the beautiful rolling hills of wild flowers, gardens of plump-trees. Dinner at local house. Overnight on stilt house sharing with other people.

You can get up early to enjoy the pure peaceful atmosphere and sunrise. After breakfast, visit Tea Plantation then head to Mai Chau for overnight. Dinner is on your own. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, discover the gorgeous surroundings and ethnic minority tribes with a relaxing hiking to Thái villages in Xam Khoe, Mai Hich.

After lunch, start a refreshing valley biking tour. Get to know the local hill tribe people and their culture better while passing through charming local villages, lush rice paddies and into the countryside. This is a unique experience where you will get to peek into the homes of locals and watch traditional farming methods up close. After heading back to hotel and relax. Lunch at local house/ restaurant. Dinner is on your own. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, we will drive to Ninh Binh, Tam Coc also known as « Dry Halong Bay». On the way, we will stop to visit Hoa Lu, which used to be Vietnam’s capital during the 10th century. Arrive at Tam Coc, where we will embark a small rowing boat to discover the outstanding karst waterscape on Ngo Dong River. Tam Coc literally translates to « three caves» and is adorned with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites of all sizes shaped like gemstones. When rowing, enjoy the peaceful scenery of rice paddies lining the river bank. If time permits, we will cycle along winding roads passing lotus ponds, temples and cottages, typical of Vietnamese countryside to visit Bich Dong Pagoda situated on a hillside. Overnight at hotel in Tam Coc.

After your breakfast, we will head to Halong Bay, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO since 1994 and 2006, and check-in our overnight boat. Enjoy a trip on Halong with stops to visit caves or to swim and enjoy the sunset on the sea. Dinner with fresh seafood! Overnight onboard.

The Vietnamese call the “East Sea” by a point-oriented name “Eastern Sea”, so you may guess how miraculous it is seeing the sunrise over the islets of the Bay. The boat will take us to go about marvelous areas, where almost each islet has its own name, adopting its shape or reminiscent, including the Fisherman’s Head, Turtle, the Sail, the Incense Burner Rock, the cute Sea Dog Rock or Cock Fighting Rocks and so on. Overland to Hanoi Airport where you take onward flight to Danang, Upon arrival in Danang, private transfer to your hotel in Hoi An. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Wake up to the cool morning sea-breeze before heading off for a wander around the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An Ancient Town. A former trading port that welcomed Chinese, Ditch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab merchants from the 16th to the 18th centuries, it’s one of the country’s most fascinating cultural melting pots. Hoi An is also home to some of the country’s most beautiful ancient architecture inspired by Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese culture.

Start your walking journey through the breezy walking streets lined with honey-yellow buildings, and arrive first at Chua Ong Pagoda. This Chinese inspired structure dates back to 1653, and its interior still wafts the sweet smell of incense during the day. From here, walk onward to nearby Phuc Kien Assembly Hall and Jinshang Temple, dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea.

Wrap up the tour with a stop at Sky Coffee Bar, a local favourite haunt within the Hoi An Museum. Chat with your guide over a beverage here before heading back to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day free at your leisure. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 

Free at your leisure till transfer to Danang Airport to take the midday flight to Saigon. You will be welcomed at the Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to the hotel to check-in.  . Spend the rest of the day free at your leisure. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 

Morning head to Cu Chi Tunnels one of the few remaining monuments to the fierce Vietnam War. We can even crawl a part of the tunnel to experience the real life of the Vietnamese guerrillas, who used to use and live inside this system during the wartime. Return to Saigon to visit including the Reunification Palace, the Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Our one day cruise excursion starts at 8:00 am from the lobby of your hotel in Saigon with a drive to Ben Tre. While there, you can take a walk along the waterfront, lined with French era shops and houses, and you'll see plenty of coconuts being unloaded from boats for dispatch around the country. Then, jump on a boat for a couple of hours of cruising on the Mekong River. You will enjoy your delicious lunch at a local restaurant or on board. The excursion will end at around 4:00pm where the vehicle will await you for your transfer back to Saigon. Dinner is on your own. Overnight at the hotel. 

There is no activity planned for today so you are free to enjoy your free time souvenir shopping until transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
