Today in the morning, visit Hanoi’s first university - the Temple of Literature - dating back to 1070. This historical centre of learning is now dedicated to Confucian worship. Then, you will have a visit to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (outside), traditional stilt house and One-Pillar Pagoda.

After lunch, have some hour rest before your late afternoon cooking class with local chef. He will take you to wet market, buy some fresh ingredients as well as see daily life of local people. Go back to the cooking centre and enjoy a private cooking lesson where you learn cooking some signature Vietnamese dishes. After completing, sit down and enjoy dinner with your cooked food.

In the morning leave Hanoi for Ha Long Bay by private vehicle. Upon arrival, board a charming boat and begin your exploration of magical Halong Bay, one of Southeast Asia’s premier tourist destinations. An excellent, fresh seafood lunch and dinner will be served on the boat. Overnight onboard the very comfortable and charming boat.       

You are advised to set your alarm clock to enjoy a spectacular dawn over the bay. After a morning bathe and breakfast on board you will continue your cruise to explore the bay. Saying goodbye to the breathtaking beauty of limestone pillars pulling out of Halong Bay, you are transferred by shuttle bus back to Hanoi center. From Hanoi center, your driver (no guide) will take you to Noi Bai airport.  Arriving to Noi Bai airport and take the flight to Hue. Be welcomed at Hue airport and transferred to the city for check in at the hotel. In the morning, visit the famous Imperial Citadel, which was built by Emperor Gia Long in 1804, the citadel's attractions include the Noon Gate or Ngo Mon. The gate leads to the Imperial Palace and was the ceremonial location for the kings' annual announcement of the year's calendar and the names of new doctors of philosophy…   Wrap up the morning with a visit to Tha Om garden house typical of Hue city, which was built according to precise rules of geomancy. Experience the serene and pleasant feelings such a place might bring you and have lunch there.   Keeping your journey to Tu Duc Mausoleum, one of the most beautiful tombs of Hue. It was inspired by the calm and is a model of Vietnamese traditional art. It is also an opportunity to learn about the history of Nguyen Dynasty and the French colonial period.  

In the later afternoon, you are transferred to Vong Canh Hills where overlooks the marvelous and elaborate modifications of the water colors upon various nuances of sunlight and sky. Enjoy the magical sunset over the ancient but magnificent Hue while relaxing with an exclusive cocktail prepared for you only.   Transfer back to your hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner on your own. In the afternoon travel to Hoi An in style by restored army Jeep car via the scenic Hai Van Pass, where we will enjoy the spectacular panorama of the central coastline from the summit. Upon arrival in Danang, stop by the Cham Museum to view some of the best-preserved Cham statues before heading to ancient Hoi An town. Arrival in Hoi An late in the afternoon. Check in at the hotel. Meals on your own and overnight at the hotel.      

This morning, we will wander through a Unesco World Heritage listed villages. The small streets of Hoi An are ideal to wander along to explore the shops, houses and temples on foot or by bicycle. Cars and motorbikes are forbidden in the entire area, which allows you to peacefully enjoy some of most important sightseeing spots of Hoi An such as Chinese temples, traditional houses, the famous Japanese bridge and daily life activities of the local people. Wake up in the early morning for a guided tour which will allow you to further appreciate the true value of this legacy of over 800 historical monuments. The city itself has been listed UNESCO World Heritage. The tour ends with a cup of coffee or tea at Reaching Out – a special teashop where all the waiters and waitresses are hearing impaired staff who are given a chance to have a self–reliant life and integrate into the community with training to enable them to work there confidently and professionally. A peaceful time for you to enjoy the silence and taste of coffee.

In the afternoon, there may be no better way to experience local culture and learn about local life than an excursion with a water buffalo and his cart. Escorted by our enthusiastic staff, you will explore local farms and learn about village life. In addition to touring the rice paddies, you'll travel the village roads and visit other farms growing peanuts, sesame and other local crops while enjoying seeing the daily activities of the local people. Mr Xe, our friendly buffalo, is lovely company and he's sure to make your rural culture journey truly unique! Returning to the rice paddies, take a seat and enjoy a wonderful neck, foot and shoulder massage as the sun draws slowly closer to the horizon and let the romance of the moment engulf you. After experiencing the relaxation of your massage, you'll be greeted with some delicious BBQ food and glasses of wine to enjoy as the sun finally sets. Free time at leisure until the right time for transfer to the airport in Danang to fly to Saigon.    

Upon arrival, you will be picked up by local driver and guide then transferred hotel. Check in your room and then free at leisure to visit the city with some historic landmarks of the colonial city once known as Saigon include the Old Saigon Post Office, the Chinese district of Cho Lon, the Ben Thanh market and the Thien Hau pagoda.

In the early evening, you will be picked up at the hotel by vespa before heading off to street vendor stalls. This tour will take you through many parts of the city that are off the general tourist map. You’ll have a chance to experience the typical nightlife of Saigon – just exactly the way that local people often do. The tour will start with a ride to a section of China Town and then heading to District 4 through busy streets and alleys buzzing with locals seated at seafood street stalls and sipping on icy cold drinks. Leaving District 4 to District 3 the tour passes through downtown District 1 taking in the sights, sounds and smells of Saigon city with  opportunities for stopping along the way whenever it takes your fancy. Then the tour will continue to a well hidden Vietnamese-coffee shop to enjoy the sounds of local Vietnamese live music. After this very exhilarating nightlife tour of Saigon, you will then be driven back to the hotel. Overnight at the resort.

At 11:15am, you will enjoy a joining trip exploring Cu Chi Tunnels with totally new experiences: accessing into Cu Chi by boat instead of car, exploring local life outside Saigon. Embark on your speed boat from Ho Chi Minh City’s pier; your English-speaking guide will introduce you to life along the banks of the Saigon River as your boat gracefully slips through knots of floating water hyacinths on this scenic one-hour boat trip. A traditional Vietnamese lunch of local specialties like lemongrass chicken and caramelized clay pot pork will be served before your visit to the tunnels. After a short documentary, your guide will lead you through the historic Cu Chi Tunnels, dug by resourceful guerrilla fighters to provide communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters during numerous conflicts. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

In the evening, have you ever try to eat in the complete darkness? Try this intriguing experience in the restaurant Noir, Dining in the Dark in Ho Chi Minh City. Take away sight and be surprised to feel your other senses emerge to interpret the world from another perspective. Rendezvous in District 1, the restaurant is situated in a beautiful colonial house in a hidden dead-end in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. After a warm welcomed by the staff you will enjoy a fresh drink while you are introducing to the concept of the place. The first thing to do is to leave your mobile devices and any light source outside the dining room. Next, you participate in special games to get used to the feel of the night such as finding a needle in a bowl of rice or inserting plastic pieces into a mold.  After discarding all the worries of work and daily life, it’s time to discover the 3 mystery menus from a booklet with Braille script: a culinary journey from the East, from the West or a Vegetarian one. The chef and his team have designed each meal around different cooking techniques and ingredients from Vietnam, Asia and Europe with surprising textures, flavours and tastes. So the real experience begins as soon you enter in the pitch black dining room. You may feel scary and quivering but don’t worry, the waiter will guide you until your table and help you to discover it. The restaurant employs blind or visually impaired waiters who have been specially trained to assist and reassure the clients. The aim is to create an honest experience when enjoying the dishes as well as help eliminate any distance in the interaction between guests to bring the most comfortable feeling. Smell becomes more subtle; taste becomes more acute, hearing becomes more sensitive and touch becomes more delicate… To finish you will be again invited in the living room to discover what you ate. This morning, leave bustling Ho Chi Minh for the 2.5-hour drive to the delta town of Cai Be. The brilliant colors and bustling markets of the Mekong Delta will delight kids as well as adults.

Arrive in Cai Be at noon, then board the Bassac. A welcome drink will be given on arrival followed by an introduction to the ship and crew. Depart towards Cho Lach on the Tien Giang River and enjoy lunch on the upper deck while en route. Rest on the deck while the ship branches into the Cho Lach Canal for 30 minutes through the traffic of sand and rice barges, passing fruit drying facilities and around wooden ship building yards.

Visit a village on the banks of river Mang Thít to soak in the way of life here in the Delta. There will also be a chance to visit one of the orchards or rice fields nearby.

Back on board the Bassac a complimentary drink will be served; sit back and enjoy the sunset overlooking the Mekong’s magical waterways.

Dinner will be served whilst the Bassac cruises the Mang Thit River towards the Bassac’s anchorage point for the night, downstream from the little market of Tra On.

Begin the day with a delicious breakfast while the boat cruises towards Can Tho. Upon arrival to Can Tho, check out of the cabin and transfer onto a local boat to visit the Cai Rang floating market.

Cruise through the floating market which bustles with wholesalers on large vessels. Here, during the early morning market hours, larger sized boats anchor and create lanes that smaller boats weave in and out of. The main items sold here are fruit and vegetables, with each boat advertising their goods for sale on long, upright poles at the ship’s bow. The waterway becomes a maze of boats packed with mango, bananas, papaya, pineapple, and even floating pho vendors.

Return to land and have lunch in Can Tho.

This afternoon, spend time cycling around the quiet laneways and dirt paths of Can Tho. Biking is the perfect way to discover the countryside with the family. The roads are flat and the sites are amazing: cottage industries, small farms harvesting or planting rice, hidden temples and lots of friendly locals who will come out to interact.

After breakfast, resume the drive back to Ho Chi Minh City (the journey takes about 4-hours).

Upon reaching Ho Chi Minh City, our guide and driver will provide transport to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free at leisure.
